Retrovir oral formulations are indicated for the management of patients with advanced HIV disease, such as those with the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome ( AIDS) or AIDS-related complex (ARC). Retroveir is also indicated for the management of certain patients with early Human Immunodeficiency Virus disease such as those with HIV-associated symptoms and/or other recognized prognostic markers of impending progression to advanced disease. Evidence of efficiency has only been demonstrated in patients with T4 ( t-helper) cell counts of less than 500/m3. .
